Are you deciding where you will eat breakfast this morning then check out the Keltic Kitchen  Restaurant in West Yarmouth.   Keltic’s Kitchen is a charming Irish themed  restaurant owned by Dublin born David Dempsey.  They have been featured in the USA Today as a great place to eat breakfast.   They also have outdoor seating and not many breakfast places offer  that!  They are open daily 7am-2pm and just serve breakfast.  Keltic Kitchen restaurant in West Yarmouth MA

They have a traditional Irish breakfast, including black-and-white pudding (aka blood sausage), brown bread, beans and thick Irish bacon. Or you can try out the Keltic Benny which is the Irish version of Eggs Benedict.   In addition, they many typical American  breakfast items such as eggs, omelets and plenty of pancakes.

Here are some reviews

Wild boar sausage, eggs, trees and toast with a side of sweet potato cranberry walnut pancakes. All yummy

After another wonderful Keltic breakfast, I found a hurling match on NESN!! I do believe it’s the first time a match has been on the tube. Two Irish teams in Fenway Park. Announcers are Irish as well. If I hadn’t eaten with you this morning, I sure would be regretting it now

I read about Keltic Kitchen in a “Cape Cod Brunch Spots to Try” article and it didn’t disappoint!   Seafood hash with poached eggs and toasted Irish brown bread is a wonderful twist on a classic. I sat at the counter and enjoyed watching all the action in the kitchen. My lovely server was excellent with a charming Irish brogue. I’ll be back!

Breakfast was delicious! It’s always busy even in the “off-season”, but it is also school vacation week, so that probably resulted in a bit more of a crowd. We waited about 15-20 minutes for a table for 5 and had to step outside because there is only a doorway to enter with no waiting area (since they use every square foot to seat diners.) The woman, who I believe is the owner, updated us after 10 minutes to say they were just waiting on a 2nd table to accommodate us and we were seated within 10 minutes. We knew this was a popular breakfast spot, so the wait time was expected and managed well.

Our server was friendly and efficient. Coffee and drinks came quickly and our order was taken promptly. It did seem like it was taking a while for the food to arrive, but the place was packed and all of the staff was hustling so I never bothered to check the time or say anything and just as the kids started to get fidgety, the food arrived!

We got the ham & cheese omelette, cinnamon roll pancakes, sweet potato pancakes (my husband’s favorite,) chocolate chip pancakes and my favorite, the Keltic Benny- poached eggs on corned beef hash, English muffin topped with Hollandaise…so good! Everybody thoroughly enjoyed their meals with lots of leftover pancakes. The only comment other than “YUM” was that the sausage was spicy. I highly recommend the Keltic Kitchen.

After you eat, make sure you stop and their Keltic Kottage shop directly behind the restaurant. It has Irish dolls, breakfast food, candy and clothing.
