The Lobster Shanty restaurant in Eastham MA

If you are looking to eat some seafood  while on your summer Cape vacation, then head to Eastham.  The Lobster Shanty is a seafood restaurant  located on the southbound side of Route 6 across the street from the Salt Pond section of the Cape Cod National Seashore in Eastham.  The large  restaurant  has  several rooms of dining as well as shaded  outdoor patio. The dining rooms  are  casual and well-worn, with lots of little nooks and crannies.  A lobster tank is set up in the middle of the place. They do have a take-out area if you prefer to eat at home or at the beach.   It is one of those places that screams Cape Cod. 

 They have fresh seafood specials including their specialty Lobster and chowder  and a full bar as well.  They do offer non seafood dishes  soups, salads, appetizers, pizza, sandwiches. They have a children menu and the kids will be pleased that the food is served in buckets!

Very good. I know judging a lobster roll is, of course, subjective… Imho their lobster roll really is very good. Yummy clam strips and coleslaw that you actually want to eat (lol) because it’s fresh a sweetened just right.

We took a chance 1st day in……loved the look. The lobster was delicious and fresh! Went back another day for lunch- lobster roll and cole slaw were tasty and fresh as well! They service is excellent and the people are very friendly and attentive….

Excellent restaurant! I love their food, the portions are generous, and very tasty!!! The staff is very friendly and we had a great time there. I highly recommend it to our friends and family!

twin lobster. We split it and an order of side corn and potato. Corn and potato was one of the best and we are from corn country n Illinois. Lobster was amazing. Clam chowder so good we bought a quart. Only thing it lacked was good bread. !  We ll be back for sure!

I enjoyed a cup of Clam Chowder and it was delicious. The clams were tender and there were a good amount of potatoes too. It wasn’t overly creamy which was great! I also enjoy the Fish n Chips which was awesome!! Fish was moist and crispy which is a hard thing to achieve. I am a New Englander so these two items are important to me and they NAILED them!
