On Monday, my Handsome Husband and I took a trip to our Cape house, as the season has ended, the house needs to be closed up and the endless leaves need to be raked. It was a warm day and we moved quickly, putting away furniture, disconnecting cable boxes – and raking leaves (not me, lol). We finished our chores early and hit my father-in-law’s (God rest him) favorite restaurant – Captain Parker’s. It was predetermined in a parking lot conversation that we would get our own clam chowder instead of doing what we usually do – split a bowl. This chowder is just that good that HH did not want to share! I was ok with that as the chowder at Capitain Parker’s is by far the best I have ever had — thick, creamy, you can taste the bacon and potato. Excellent. We also each had the chicken caesar wrap, with fries. No complaints, the caesar part was very fresh and crispy, the fries were yummy. Service was great, it was very pleasant to sit in the back room overlooking the patio (which has amazing firepits, makes me feel like we ought to take a spin down there at night during the summer). Nothing really called to us on the dessert menu and as we were full with chowder, we headed home. The day was beautiful, we were very productive and it is always a good day when we each have our own bowl of the best clam chowder on the planet!

So, when I ordered a cup of Clam Chowder I asked the server if it was any good? and then said Just Kidding. 🤣
My father had a side of Shrimp to accompany the Cocktail Sauce which he inhaled like an aperitif.
He also had a French Dip.  He loved it.
They serve these Potato Chip Fries.  Very different, delicious. They looked and tasted fresh and housemade,
but I was told they receive them frozen.
I had Fried Sole and those Chip Fries.
So good.
