Day 338 Wareham Public Safety Day for Kids 2014

Join Smokey the Bear and the Wareham and Onset Fire Departments, Wareham EMS and Harbormaster Departments, and the Wareham Police Department in a Public Safety Day on Sunday July 13th from 1-5pm at Wareham High School  and Town hall .  Each Safety Department  will be on hand with other state, local, regional and military units to display and demonstrate equipment and skills. Watch the K-9 units go through their paces. Parents can enroll their children in the CHIPS program for the purpose of child identification.

A special event will be the ANTIQUE HAND TUB FIRE MUSTER. This friendly competition of the New England States Veteran Fireman’s League will recreate how fires were controlled before fire trucks came on the scene. Modern and antique fire apparatus will be on display. In a separate location, there will be a touch-a-truck area for hands-on participation. Exhibitors and food vendors will be on hand to make this a fun family event.
