Osterville Christmas Open House & Stroll 2014

The 45th Annual Osterville Christmas Open House & Stroll will be held throughout the Village of Osterville on Friday, December 12, 2014 and Saturday December 13th.

Friday ~ December 12, 2014

10:00 to 6:00 “Osterville Historical Museum”, 155 West Bay Rd. “Festival of Trees”(also Sat. ‘til 3:00)
10:00 to 3:00 “Osterville Historical Museum”, Paul Chesbro will be singing copies of his books.
11:00 to 11:30 Caroling on the steps of TDBank, 835 Main St. by “St. Peter’s Church Nursery School”
12:00 Hospice “Tree of Memories” Service at Armstrong-Kelley Park, 684 Main St.
12:00 to 1:00 Christmas Stroll (Light) Luncheon at “Osterville Library”, 43 Wianno Ave. All Welcome!
3:00 to 4:30 Wine & Cheese Tasting, “Osterville Package Store”, 11 Wianno Ave.
3:00 to 6:00 Seasonal Organ Music by Ruth Weaver of Sandwich outside “Irresistibles”, 25 Wianno Av.
4:00 to 5:30 “Amie Bakery”, 3 Wianno Ave., Samples of “The Local Juice” & cookie bites.
4:00 to 7:00 “J McLaughlin”, 827 Main St. Wine Tasting, handmade jewelry sales by Donna Robinson
4:00 to 8:00 Osterville Village Library Christmas Character Display on the Library Lawn, enjoy Hot
Chocolate (Library front foyer will be open with rest room facilities available)
5:00 to 6:00 Christmas music by “Regency Brass” in front of 13 Wianno Avenue.
5:00 to 6:00 Children’s Activity (to be announced) provided by “Pocket full of Posies”, 7 Wianno Ave.
5:30 to 6:00 Caroling on steps of the Baptist Church by “St. Peters’ Church” Choir

Main Street and Wianno Avenue will be closed to traffic and parking from the corner of Tower Hill,
772 Main St., to 866 Main St. and from the Post Office to our Flagpole from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Ample parking is available behind the stores and in the Catholic Church parking lots. Vehicles parked
along Main Street or Wianno Avenue within the “closed areas” at 5:00 p.m. may be towed.
We ask for your cooperation for the safety of the children and all pedestrians.
Special Evening Event!
5:55 p.m. The Ringing of the Church Bells will herald the gathering around the Creche.
AN ECUMENICAL CRECHE SERVICE will be held surrounding the Creche in the Village
Center and on the steps of the Baptist Church, with all of the Osterville Churches participating.
Please join with your neighbors and friends for the most important part of our Christmas Stroll!
6:30 The Ringing of the Church Bells will signify the end of the Creche Service, and all the
stores will reopen to greet their patrons with refreshments, door prizes, and good cheer!

Refreshments and music throughout the 1820s Parker House Museum.
10:00 to 2:00 Blockbuster Book Sale ~ Osterville Library by “Friends of the Osterville Library”.
10:00 to 3:00 Seasonal Organ Music by Ruth Weaver of Sandwich, 9 Wianno Avenue.
12:00 DOG PARADE-Dress up your dogs in their “Christmas Best”. Meet at the Library
Green, 43 Wianno Ave. Parade down Main Street and back. Treats & Prizes!
1:00 to 2:30 Osterville Library “CHRISTMAS TEA”, 43 Wianno Ave., Join the “Friends
of the Library” for tea and refreshments. Concert at 1:30 by “Curb Appeal Quartet”
1:00 to 1:30 Teddy Bear Tea and Story time at the Osterville Library. Dress up in your
Holiday finery and, with Teddy in tow, come to a formal Teddy Bear Tea, then join
the adults in the Fireside Room to hear the “Curb Appeal” Concert.
