Cape Cod Canal Concerts in the Park 2016 in Buzzard Bay MA

The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce has scheduled another exciting year for the popular “Eastern Bank Concerts by the Canal” series. The  2016 concerts are held at Buzzards Bay Park, at the Gazebo, each Thursday evening during July and August from 6:30 p.m – 8:30 p.m., right along the banks of the Canal near the base of the Bourne Railroad Bridge.Cape Cod Canal Region Concerts in the Park 2016 in Buzzard Bay MA

2016 Schedule:
July 7, The Corvairs – All Oldies
The Corvairs play the right mixture of nostalgia pieces that will touch the hearts of all audiences, making memories of the past come alive with songs from the era of The Beatles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Rolling Stones, Elvis and many other superstars of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Music that will make you “Twist and Shout,” “Shake Rattle and Roll,” or think the good time you’re having is “Only Make Believe.” So whether it was your first romance, second kiss, third outdoor concert, The Corvairs will help to preserve and maintain your memories with a song.
July 14, Grace Morrison – Country Folk/Americana
Wareham born and raised, Grace Morrison is an award-winning singer/songwriter and storyteller. She is the 2015 winner of the “Grass Roots” Award from the New England Music Awards. The voice of Cardis’ Furniture 2014/15 TV holiday campaign, Morrison also won the WPRI-TV12 Big Break Competition in 2014. A video of her song “The Trouble” was featured on TV during the finale of American Idol.

July 21, Plymouth Fury – Classic Rock-N-Roll
The Plymouth Fury band is all about playing music that will get you up on the dance floor and keep you there, from all professional musicians that know what works. Whether it’s right off the charts or a classic hit, if it meets their dance standard, they play it. Everything you hear is fresh, exciting and new every time.
July 28, The Michele Rockwell Band (formerly Splash of Blues) – Popular and Jazz
Chemistry is what this band exudes in its music. Each musician has an interesting background in music. Put them all together and you get R&B, Rock, Blues, Soul, Reggae, and Funk. The music is always fun, right, tight and enjoyable. Spanning years from the 60s to today, the Michele Rockwell Band is electric, magnetic, and eclectic, plus you will stay on the dance floor all night long.
Aug. 4, 24 Karat Funk Band – Funk
Once they hit the stage 24 Karat Funk collectively delivers its original material and the best in Funk, R&B, Reggae, Jazz, Pop and Rock.
Aug. 11, The Infractions – Horn-driven Pop
The Infractions are an energetic six-piece band with a dynamic horn section. Led by bass and vocalist Brian Stratton (Hootie and the Blowfish and Chicago), the band covers all styles of music. The Infractions performs songs by old school classic artists like Stevie Wonder, Chicago, Steely Dan, the Commodores and Bruce Springsteen. The newer material is music by Zac Brown, Robin Thicke, Bruno Mars and many more. Tony Rocks and Ronnie Caggiano also add a tremendous vocal dynamic to the group.
Aug. 18, Memphis Rockabilly – Rockabilly
Playing songs that range from rockabilly, surf instrumentals, rock & roll, hillbilly to rhythm and blues, Memphis Rockabilly Band is a great dance band and a favorite of swing dancers.
