This Christmas holiday season, hop aboard Cape Cod Central Railroad in Buzzard Bay for the Polar Express. We are so excited for the 2023 Cape Cod Holiday season
Adventure comes to life when the train departs for a round-trip journey to the North Pole led by our merry-making cast! If you have a kid that is a fan of the Tom Hanks movie, this will be a wonderful holiday memory making adventure!
Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, passengers will relive the magic of the classic story as they are whisked away on THE POLAR EXPRESS™ for a 1 to 1 ½ hour trip to meet Santa.
Onboard, the conductor will punch golden tickets for each child. Dancing chefs and waiters will lead family singalongs of Christmas carols, and you’ll enjoy listening to a reading of the classic children’s book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg.
Santa and his elves board the train at the North Pole to greet passengers and each guest is given the first gift of Christmas. Please be sure to have your camera ready to capture this moment! During the trip, characters on each car lead fantastic onboard entertainment – just like in the film! Each child will take home a keepsake sleigh bell and souvenir golden ticket in addition to the wonderful memories made on this magical trip.

Delicious hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies, which are individually wrapped in sealed packages, are provided for each passenger after the ride.

What are the differences between the Classes of Service?
STANDARD CLASS
Our Standard Class of service is the most economical way to experience our train ride. Seating is in rows. Please be advised that an equivalent substitute may be made on the date of travel.
FIRST CLASS
First Class passengers enjoy seating at tables of four. Each table is located next to a window. Based on the number of people in the party, passengers may be seated at multiple adjacent tables. Passengers in First Class receive a Limited Edition Polar Express tumbler with the purchase of each adult or child ticket.
PREMIUM CLASS
Premium Class is the deluxe way to travel on THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride. Passengers enjoy plush seating at tables of four which are located in an elevated space with panoramic windows. Based on the number of people in the party, passengers may be seated at multiple adjacent tables. Passengers in Premium Class receive a Limited Edition Polar Express ceramic mug with the purchase of each adult or child ticket.
What are the reviews
We took the polar express with our children, ages 2,4, and 6. they absolutely loved it! If you get there early they have an area to wait (large tents) and port-a-pottys for those last minute musts. There were also souvenirs for purchase. The experience getting on and sitting on the train was magical for the little ones. The conductor gave them each their special ticket and the elves sang and danced while serving hot chocolate and a cookie. They truly made every child feel welcomed and encouraged singing and marching in the isles. An elf walked up and down the isle of each car with a large print book as it was ‘read’ over the loudspeaker. Of course the big finale was Santa arriving and handing out a special bell, posing for photo ops too.
Polar Express. Phenomenal experience. Grandchildren & adults enjoyed the whole night. Pricey for 11 people. But they didn’t disappoint.
We left the Buzzard’s Bay train station on the Polar Express train ride to the North Pole! Our 4 year old grandson was mesmerized by the singing and dancing. The young people acting on this train were very engaging! The reading of the Polar Express was perfect.
An awesome adventure to the North Pole! The show aspect was fun but the best part was quality time with my friends and family.

My wife son and I did the Polar Express. It was an amazing time. The cast was awesome and treated all the children the same.
The Polar Express ride was so much fun for my 2.5 year old and 9 month old. All of the staff were wonderful from the parking attendant, to the ticket staff, chefs/elves, conductor, and Santa! They made the experience magical. You could tell that everyone really loved their job. There was lots of personal attention and it ran very smoothly
