Cape Cod Canal Concerts 2017 in Buzzard Bay MA

The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce has scheduled another exciting year for the popular “Eastern Bank Concerts by the Canal” series. The 2017 concerts are held at  Bourne Community Serues  each Thursday evening during July and August from 6:30 p.m – 8:30 p.m., right along the banks of the Canal near the base of the Bourne Railroad Bridge.

 

Mashpee Community Picnic & July 4th Fireworks 2017

The 15th Annual Mashpee Community Picnic & Fireworks will be held on Friday, June 30th st at 5pm at Mashpee High School. Come and celebrate July 4th on Cape Cod!  Mashpee Community Picnic & July 4th  Fireworks 2017

Highlands Fest 2017 at Payomet Arts Center in Truro MA

Payomet Performing Arts Center will be hosting their annual Highlands Fest in North Truro. on Saturday June 24th 10am-1pm. They will presenting music, circus performers and magic.. This is a great free event for the family. Highlands Fest  2017 at Payomet Arts Center in Truro MA

Highlands Fest is an annual celebration of the Highlands Center at Cape Cod National Seashore by its partner organizations: Barnstable County AmeriCorps Cape Cod, Cape Cod National Seashore, Payomet Performing Arts Center, Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies, Sustainable CAPE, and Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill. The Truro Public Library joins us this year to help with pollinator education.”

Our theme, “Bee Dynamic” is inspired by our need to learn about and be proactive towards pollinators. All pollinators are important and essential to Cape Cod, and we will jointly take action to active to help ensure their survival. Be involved in planting butterfly-friendly seeds to take home, be engaged in viewing “Bee Diversity” outdoor exhibits and pollinator garden plots, and be creative by helping paint a pollinator mural.

This Highlands Fest will also feature imaginative entertainment at Payomet, an educational nature walk with Center for Coastal Studies, and refreshments donated by our supporters. All ages and abilities are invited to be active, learn, and support your hardworking pollinators!

SandwichFest Food & Street Festival 2017

The 8th  Annual SandwichFest will be celebrated on Saturday, June 25, from 10 am to 4 pm, rain or shine.   SandwichFest Food & Street Festival 2017

This year’s street festival will be held on Water Street (Route 130) stretching from Town Hall Square to the Hoxie House. Approximately 75 juried arts & crafts, food and local non-profit organizations will take part in the event.

Activities include fun and games with the Sandwich Recreation Department on the lawn of the former Thornton W. Burgess Museum, a Dog Costume Parade and Competition and much more awaits fair goers at this celebration of summer.

The “Best Sandwich in Sandwich” tent will be located at the Hoxie House along with a “Beer and Wine Garden”. 

To vote on the People’s Choice Award and to sample the delicious sandwiches, register at your choice of seating times at 11,12 and 1pm.

Each ticket includes sandwich samplings from EVERY participating restaurant 

(along with a bag of chips and water)

all to enjoy before casting your vote for the “People’s Choice” winner. 

Provincetown Portuguese Festival & Blessing of the Fleet 2017

The Provincetown Portuguese festival will be held Thursday June 22nd thru Sunday June 25th! This annual tradition is a great family friendly event! This festival has celebrated the rich culture of the Portuguese people living and working on Cape Cod.

The Festival is four days of live music, dancing, parades, incredible food, games and more. With over 30 events and activities with many of them free, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Festival Weekend is capped off with The Blessing of The Fleet. After a procession through town, boats decked out in their finest parade past the Bishop and receive their Blessing for a safe & prosperous year

After Mass at St. Peter the Apostle Church a Procession leaves as a group for the short walk to MacMillan Pier for the 70th annual Blessing of the Fleet. They are bearing banners that honor the fishing fleet past & present.

TASCA Portuguese Cafe on MacMillan Pier. Sample the taste of Portugal with a host of delicacies including a Beer & Wine cash bar!

70th Blessing Of The Fleet. Honoring a tradition in Provincetown, boats decked out in their finest parade before Bishop Edgar Da Cunha S.D.V. to receive their blessing. The fleet will be judged for their decorations too. A free event!

Enjoy a Traditional Band Concert in front of Town Hall featuring St. Anthony’s Band from Cambridge, its a free event!

Art in the Village 2017 in Barnstable MA

The 15th Annual Art in the Village festival will be held on Saturday June 24 and Sunday June 25, 2017 Paintings, pottery, jewelry, photography and more. Children’s activities, too – face painting, and more. Enjoy live music throughout the day, bid on great auction items. Festival is 10am-4pm both days along Route 6A/Main Street in Barnstable Village. It is a rain or shine event!!
