Wrinkles, The Musical at Cape Cod Theater in Harwich MA

Wrinkles, The Musical will be performed at Cape Cod Theater in Harwich from May 11th to June 11th. This is the premiere performance of the musical.  Wrinkles, The Musical at Cape Cod Theater in Harwich MA

In 2008, two dear friends celebrated their 60th birthdays. One went on a silent retreat for three weeks and wrote poetry. The other got a personal trainer, cosmetic dentistry, Botox, Juvaderm, and laser treatments. Using one of the poems, Hags and Crones as their inspiration, the two created the Wrinkles Review. The work was further shaped, developed, and directed by Broadway producer and longtime friend, Dani Davis as a “work in progress” performance at WHAT in 2010. Sold out houses and standing ovations encouraged the writers to keep working toward the development of an evening-length, two-act musical. With the intention of empowering older women, the writers based the script on real stories of Cape women ages 60-95 shared in workshops, interviews, and seminars. The Cape Cod Theatre Company presents the premiere of Wrinkles, the Musical, A Celebration of Women and Aging written by Naomi Turner and Wilderness Sarchild; directed by Nina Schuessler; with music by Grammy Award winner Jason Howland, Cape recording artist Sarah Burrill, and composer and musical director Malcolm Granger. Monomoy Island Excursions in Harwichport MA

Monomoy Island Excursions is a family owned and operated business in Harwich, Cape Cod, Massachussets. For over 10 years we’ve been taking people out to Monomoy, a barrier island and wildlife refuge off the coast of Chatham, MA, where thousands of seals have made their home.

seal

While seals are the main attraction on our cruise, there is a lot more to see! We visit Wychmere Harbor, in Harwich Port. This is one of the most scenic harbors on the Cape! We also stop in to Stage Harbor in Chatham, where you get a close up view of Stage Harbor Lighthouse, and can catch a glimpse of Chatham Lighthouse. Not to mention the combination of large yachts, small sailboats, and various fishing boats that fill each harbor. You get a real taste of the sea life on Nantucket Sound.
We run seal cruises several times a day, generally lasting 1 1/2 hours. While we see lots of harbor seals and gray seals, Monomoy is also home to hundreds of species of birds and other wildlife. There is a trained naturalist on board who narrates the tour and can answer questions about the wildlife as well as the history of the island and the historic  Monomoy Lighthouse.
