The Barnstable Natural Resources Program presents the 12th annual Fun-Filled Clamming Classes for Kids.
Free shellfishing classes for kids:
SATURDAY JUNE 14th @ 7:00AM at Bridge St. Landing, Osterville
SUNDAY JUNE 15th @ 7:30AM at Bridge St. Landing, Osterville
WEDNESDAY JUNE 18TH @ 10:00AM at Bridge St. Landing, Osterville
- Natural Resources staff and town shellfish volunteers will be available to assist young diggers who want help.
- Be prepared to get wet. Waders, hip boots or knee boots helpful. Protective gloves a must.
- Shellfish may be taken by hand or rake. Small garden hand rakes and trowels will be allowed for young diggers.
- Participants receive a free “Clammer Kid” badge, an activity booklet and a certificate of completion.
- Shellfish that are legally harvested may be taken home. All shellfish regulations apply.
The comfort and safety of participating kids is the responsibility of the child’s parent/guardian.
