The Aptucxet Trading Post Museum is a small open-air historical museum in Bourne, MA. The main attraction is a replica of the 17th-century Aptucxet Trading Post which was built by the Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony in order to trade with the Wampanoag Indians and the Dutch. The museum also features a replica of a 19th-century saltworks, the relocated 19th-century Gray Gables Railroad Station, and a wooden smock windmill. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021
The Museums at Aptucxet is open Memorial Day Weekend through Columbus Day Weekend.
Due to safety concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic, masks are requested of any visitor who is not fully vaccinated while visiting the Museums at Aptucxet. For the 2021 season, the Museums at Aptucxet will only be fully open on Fridays and Saturdays.

Special rates are available for students and group tours 508-759-8167. We have a turnaround for buses to drop visitors off at the Trading Post, with a parking area near the Trading Post Gift Shop.
