Free Outdoor movies Thursday Nights at Mashpee Commons 2025

Summer Movie Nights are  back at Mashpee Commons for 2025   Every Thursday evening from June 26th to August 21st  join us for free, family-friendly movie nights on the Village Green across from the Mashpee Library.

Bring your own beach chairs and blankets (no pets please). Movie nights are free, family-friendly and open to the public!   *Note: Movie Nights are weather dependent. In the event of inclement weather, movie will be rescheduled to the following Sunday. Check our social media for updates on the day for any weather cancellations

June 26: Sixteen Candles

Rating: PG

A classic 80s teen comedy about a high school girl’s disastrous 16th birthday, where her family forgets the occasion amidst her sister’s wedding preparations, and she pines for a popular senior while fending off an embarrassing freshman.

July 3: Moana 2

Rating: PG

The highly anticipated sequel to Disney’s “Moana,” this animated musical adventure follows Moana as she embarks on a new voyage across the far seas of Oceania after receiving an unexpected call from her ancestors, exploring new challenges and ancient mysteries.

July 10: Footloose

Rating: PG

A vibrant 80s musical drama about a city teenager who moves to a small town where rock music and dancing have been banned. He challenges the local authorities to bring joy and freedom back through dance.

July 17: The Wild Robot

Rating: PG

An animated adventure film based on the popular book, telling the story of a robot named ROZZUM unit 7134, or “Roz,” who becomes shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the wild and connect with its animal inhabitants.

July 24: The Goonies

Rating: PG

A beloved 80s adventure comedy where a group of misfit kids, facing foreclosure on their homes, discovers an old map and sets out on an exhilarating journey to find the treasure of legendary pirate One-Eyed Willy, encountering booby traps and chasing criminals along the way.

July 31: Iron Man

Rating: PG-13

The film that launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A brilliant billionaire inventor and arms manufacturer, Tony Stark, is captured and forced to build a weapon. Instead, he creates a high-tech suit of armor to escape and, upon returning home, decides to use his technology to fight crime as Iron Man.

August 7: The Lego Movie

Rating: PG

A highly imaginative and humorous animated adventure where an ordinary Lego construction worker, thought to be the prophesied “Special,” is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the entire Lego universe into a state of stasis.

August 14: Pirates of the Caribbean – Curse of The Black Pearl

Rating: PG-13

A swashbuckling fantasy adventure where Captain Jack Sparrow, a roguish pirate, teams up with a blacksmith to rescue the governor’s daughter and reclaim his ship from a cursed crew of undead pirates.

August 21: Wicked

Rating: PG

The highly anticipated cinematic adaptation of the popular Broadway musical, serving as a prequel to “The Wizard of Oz.” It tells the untold story of the witches of Oz, focusing on the unlikely friendship between Elphaba (the future Wicked Witch of the West) and Glinda.
