Yarmouth Seaside Festival 2026 on Cape Cod
Looking for things to do on Cape Cod over Columbus Day Weekend? The Yarmouth Seaside Festival is back October 10–12, 2026, bringing three full days of fall fun to South Yarmouth! 🌊🍂
This longtime Cape Cod tradition is packed with family activities, live music, arts and crafts, food, rides, games, entertainment, races, a beach bonfire and fireworks. And the best part? The festival is FREE! 🎉
The festival takes place primarily at Joshua Sears Memorial Field in South Yarmouth, with several special events happening at area beaches.

The Yarmouth Seaside Festival has been a Cape Cod tradition since 1978 and features a huge arts and crafts fair, live entertainment, children’s activities, food vendors and plenty of activities for the whole family.
🍂 Saturday, October 10
Saturday kicks off the weekend with the Arts & Crafts Fair, rides and games, live music, kids’ entertainment, food, a petting zoo, Birds of Prey shows and the returning World Record Balloon Stunt Show.
Kids can decorate pumpkins, participate in arts and crafts, watch magicians and puppets, and even get a chance to use a fire hose during Yarmouth Fire: Ready, Aim, Fire!
There’s also a Pie Eating Contest and the fun Kooks & Spooks Parade at 3:00 PM.
🎃 Saturday evening: Head to Bass River Beach for the Beach Bonfire from 6:00–9:00 PM.
🏃 Sunday, October 11
Sunday morning starts with the Yarmouth Seaside Festival 5K Road Race along beautiful Bass River. The race begins at 9:00 AM and is open to all ages and abilities.
Then head back to the festival for another day of:

Keep the Columbus Day Weekend fun going on Monday with two classic Yarmouth Seaside Festival events.
🏖️ Family Sand Sculpture Contest
9:00 AM–Noon at Bass River Beach/Smuggler’s Beach
The 2026 theme is “Happy 250th America!” Bring your buckets, shovels and creativity!
🛶 Canoe & Kayak Race
Registration begins at 9:00 AM with the race starting at 10:00 AM from Bass River Beach. Participants paddle along the Bass River toward Wilbur Park, followed by food, fun and prizes.
🍁 A Perfect Cape Cod Fall Weekend
