Christmas in Harwich will be held on Friday December 5th   to Sunday December  7th   . There will be the Harwich Port Stroll, Tree Lighting Ceremony & Family Caroling.  Bring the kids to the family friendly weekend  holiday event to get into the holiday spirit Christmas in Harwich 2024

A Weekend of Holiday Cheer throughout our Seven Villages. Starting Friday Night with our Annual Caroling and Tree Lighting , as well as our 7 Trees for 7 Villages simultaneously lighting at 6pm Friday Night. Santa’s arrival at 6:15pm by Fire Truck -Strolling through the Harwich Port businesses enjoy dining and shopping and holiday cheer!

Friday, December 5th

 

Harwich Port Stroll 5:30 – 8:30 pm

5:30 Annual Tree Lighting and Caroling in Doane Park with the Harwich Elementary School Chorus, Pilgrim Masonic Lodge and Pilgrim Congregational Church and First Congregational Church. Come and enjoy as we celebrate the holiday season together with some very special moments.

5:30 – 8:30 Christmas Stroll in Harwich Port – Families, Children and all will stroll through the shops, church and art galleries for specials and holiday fun. Make sure to go into all the open businesses for some Holiday Cheer. There is something here for everyone.

NEW 5:00-8:00 Festive Trolleys will be looping through Harwich Port and Harwich Center starting at the Harwich Chamber. There will be Holiday Sing Along lead by the Monomoy Regional Middle School Chorus. Music in the air along the fun ride through both villages.

5:30 – 8:30 Homeless for the Holidays – Harwich Fire & Police in Front of the Harwich Chamber collecting toys, food, and cash/gift cards.

NEW 6:00-8:00 Local musicians from our Port Summer Nights will be singing a mixture of Holiday songs and covers. Musicians include – Kerosene Heater, Leah & Colleen, Joe Marino at Pilgrim Congregational outside of Monbleau Hall, The Marino Sisters on the front steps of the Harwich Chamber and Grace McWaters at Solis.

6:15 Santa’s Arrival to the Harwich Chamber of Commerce Porch via Harwich Fire Truck.

6:15 – 8 pm Visit with Santa – Outside Information Center

6:15-8:00pm Come inside the Harwich Chamber Information Center & The Grateful Mug for some goodies and bid on our Festival of trees- All proceeds will benefit The People’s Fridge of Harwich

6 – 8 pm Harwich Town Band Concert – TD Bank

5:30 – 8:30 Nativity Scenes Display and live piano music in the sanctuary of Pilgrim Congregational Church. Then enter in Monbleau Hall for the Cafe’ serving burger, hot dogs, french fries and drinks. Annual Cookie Sale, individual or by the bag, Handmade Crafts. Extra Special is the Children’s Christmas Shoppe where children will be able to shop and wrap small gifts for 50 cents each. Let’s not forget the Children’s Cookie Decorating Table – frost a cookie and decorate it with sprinkles eat while you stroll or take it home.

The Tradition continues at 6:00pm The Seven Trees for Seven Villages – Trees will light up in each of our Seven Village

Saturday, December 6th –

East Harwich
10:00am-12:00pm- Mrs. Clause Cookie Decorating at Harwich Paint & Decorating
12noon- 2:00pm- Danny Drake Jugglers & Stilt Walkers Meservey’s Rt. 137 Shell

The Merriest at Wequassett
Saturday at 1pm – 5pm Merry Market with vendors, specialty stores, pop-ups and activities. This year’s market will be spread out in different areas to accommodate more people and more offerings. We can’t wait to start our shopping!
The Outer Bar will be open from 1pm – 6pm with live entertainment from Accent Trio 2pm – 6pm and through the fireworks! Light bites and bar available. This year we will also have food trucks, seasonal brew from Hog Island Brewery and savor bites from Red River BBQ.
Saturday at 3pm Santa will arrive and hear from all of the littles about there Christmas wishes. Perfect photo opportunity!
Saturday at 5:15pm Firework show will begin!

Harwich Center
9:00am-11:00am– The Garden Club of Harwich Presents “Holiday Boutique” at the Harwich Community Center- Homemade Fresh Evergreen Wreaths, Holiday Sweets, Holiday Centerpieces & Decorations, Hand crafted Gifts and White Elephant Table.
10am-4:00pm– Holiday Market-204 Sisson Road- Join the 204 for its’ Annual Holiday Market & Open Studios. Shop and visit with over 50 creatives & artists while enjoying music and other activities. Swag bags for the first 100 kids!
3:00pm-4:00pm– Annual Christmas Concert at First Congregational Church in Harwich Center, on Saturday December 6 at 3:00 PM. The concert includes choral pieces, instruments, the Harwich Brass Quintet, narrated readings, carols and Christmas songs, and more. Members of the Harwich Women’s Chorus will join the First Church Choir for the choral pieces. The theme is “Love”. All are welcome.
