Dining out

Day 234 The Beacon Room Restaurant in Orleans MA

The Beacon Room is one of the staple places in Orlean MA s that’s perfect for a dinner with date or a girls night out while on your Cape cod vacation.    They have a solid menu that rarely changes and is very consistent plus a good wine list and a decent bar.
Start your meal off with some of their appetizer including  Lobster Sliders fresh lobster meat mixed with a touch of mayo on grilled buttered roll  or Goat Cheese Crostini  panko and herb encrusted, served on grilled crostini, finished with an apricot chutney or blackened shrimp cups grilled shrimp topped with a mango papaya salsa, drizzled with tequila lime vinaigrette, in boston bibb lettuce cups

.They have great    pasta dishes – especially the fra diavlo or the house specialty pasta. They also have an out-of-this-world spinach salad with the most delicious candied walnuts .  Or you can get  surf and turf finished with champagne cream sauce

The back room is a plus for the summer – if you can get a table there, do it. The dining room can get warm as it’s not huge, although it is very cute with it’s exposed beams and large windows.

It’s always packed during the warmer summer  months, as it’s known for being a reliably good good!  Call ahead to put your name on the  waiting list, as they  do not take reservations.  They are open year round.
