Paw Palooza is “paws down” Cape Cod’s biggest, wildest and most entertaining annual dog festival being held on Saturday July 14th and Sunday July 15th at Dennis Yarmouth Regional High school.

Paw Palooza at Dennis Yarmouth Regional High School 2018

The two-day extravaganza features entertainment, activities and food for dogs and their people! And best of all, it raises some serious dough for the Cape’s largest animal shelters – the MSPCA in Centerville and the Animal Rescue League’s Brewster Shelter. Sinjin-jumpWhat can you expect at Paw Palooza? For starters, you’ll want to head to the main attraction – the DockDogs Competition. In an awe-inspiring display of athleticism, dogs jump from a platform into a 45-foot pool, competing for distance, height and speed. Some of the sports top contenders will be on-site, insuring a jaw dropping competition! (But we think you’ll be equally as delighted by the beginners who need a bit more encouragement to hit the water!) activties-agilityPaw Palooza is more than just dogs flying! The festival includes nearly 100 vendors offering shopping experiences and sampling. The Show Ring features performances from Frisbee Dog Teams, Police K-9 Units, Agility experts and others.

Rounding out the fun is a special Kids Zone, a Raffle Tent, a Puppy Pool Pavillion, a Doggie University tent, Food Trucks and dozens of interactive activities for people and pups. The inaugural Paw Palooza took place in 2016 with more than 6,000 attendees over the course of the weekend. Due to the overwhelming interest from both attendees and DockDogs competitors, the hours and scope of the 2017 festival were expanded and attendance increased to over 10,000 attendees and several hundred dogs! Paw Palooza promises to be the most tail-wagging fun you and your pup will have all summer!
