Christmas in Harwich will be held on Friday December 1st 2023  to Sunday December 3rd  . There will be the Harwich Port Stroll, Tree Lighting Ceremony & Family Caroling.  Bring the kids to the family friendly weekend  holiday event to get into the holiday spirit

A Weekend of Holiday Cheer throughout our Seven Villages. Starting Friday Night with our Annual Caroling and Tree Lighting , as well as our 7 Trees for 7 Villages simultaneously lighting at 6pm Friday Night. Santa’s arrival at 6:15pm by Fire Truck -Strolling through the Harwich Port businesses enjoy dining and shopping and holiday cheer!

Annual Harwich Port Stroll

5:30 Annual Tree Lighting and Caroling in Doane Park with the Harwich Elementary School Chorus, Pilgrim Masonic Lodge and Pilgrim Congregational Church.

5:30 – 8:30 Christmas Stroll – Families, Children and all will stroll through the shops, church and art galleries for specials and holiday fun.

5:30 – 8:30 Homeless for the Holidays – Harwich Fire & Police collecting toys, food, and cash/gift cards for Toys

6:15 Santa’s Arrival to the Harwich Chamber of Commerce Porch via Harwich Fire Truck.

6:15 – 8 pm Visit with Santa – Outside Visitor Information Center

6 – 8 pm Harwich Town Band Concert – TD Bank

5:30 – 8:30 Annual Cookie Sale and Nativity Scenes Display – Pilgrim Congregational Church.

6:00 Seven Trees for Seven Villages – Trees light in each Village

12 – 6 Dickens of a Christmas A Christmas Carol in Harwich – A Live interactive strolling experience of the classic story by Charles Dickens. Scenes come alive along Main St. starting at the Pilgrim Masonic Lodge and ending at Brooks Park. Vendors and Food Trucks located at Brooks Park

9 – 11 Garden Club of Harwich Holiday Boutique, Harwich Community Center – Hand-made Fresh Evergreen Wreaths, Holiday Sweets, Holiday Centerpieces and Decorations, Hand Crafted Gifts. Holiday House Tour Tickets available.

3:00 – 3:45 John McCutcheon Concert for Kids, 204 Sisson Road – This FREE!!! concert for kids and their adult chaperones is part of the holiday celebrations going on throughout Harwich, World renowned singer, songwriter, storyteller, multi-instrumentalist John McCutcheon has made 8 recordings for children, six of which were nominated for Grammy awards.

3 – 5 First Congregational Church Advent Concert, First Congregational Church – Free! The theme will be “Animals” and the children of the congregation will participate, along with the choir, instruments, and readings. All are invited. The music includes pieces by Bill Staines, Gordon Lightfoot and a carol sing along.

7:30 – 9:30 An Evening with John McCutheon, 204 Sisson Road – John McCutcheon folk music’s renaissance man — master instrumentalist, powerful singer-songwriter, storyteller, activist, and author
